Dr Sascha Callaghan is a lawyer and ethicist based at the Centre for Values, Ethics and the Law in Medicine at the University of Sydney, and is a conjoint lecturer at the University of New South Wales. She is a recognized national expert on law and the body and has published widely in the academic literature in health law and ethics. She is also a regular interviewee and contributor national media programs involving ethics, law and the body including ABC’s The Drum, the Sydney Morning Herald, and ABC Radio among others. Sascha is the lawyer member of the Ethics of Clinical Practice Committee at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and a former member of the Medical & Community Health Human Research Ethics Advisory Panel at the University of New South Wales. Previously, Sascha was a corporate and government lawyer in Sydney, Canberra and Hong Kong, specialising in trade practices and intellectual property. She also rocks a black blazer.
